Electric Fence Tape

Electric fence tape is used to conduct the electricity along the fence. 

The most important factors when you choose your electric fence tape are:

• Width - some animals will respond better to a larger width of tape due to its greater visibility.  40mm tape provides great visibility but the downside is the greater width will catch the wind, in windy locations, you can use the smaller 20mm or even 12mm tape.
• Conductivity - A higher number of quality conductors in the tape provides less resistance and less resistance allows you to get the full potential out of your energiser. Lower resistance becomes more important with longer fences.

When you use electric fence tape, the distance between fence posts should be roughly 3m for 40mm tape, 4m for 20mm tape, and 6-8m for 12mm tape.
