Very sound. Like springless action. Time will tell re the blades edge holding ability but a good start.

Bottom blade is made of stainless steel, fibreglass-reinforced handle, integrated spring.

The GARDENA Comfort Secateurs (made in Germany) with their non-stick-coated upper blade and a bottom blade made of rust-proof stainless steel are perfect for cutting flowers, young shoots and fresh wood. Ergonomically shaped handles permit maximum comfort when cutting. The spring is integrated into the shears so that it cannot be lost and is protected from dirt. The secateurs have a practical single-hand safety lock for safe storage. 25 year warranty.
