Lawn size
Choose enough capacity so the mower can keep up without needing to run flat-out every day.
ROBOTIC LAWN MOWER SPECIALISTS
Skip the model-number maze. Compare the options that actually matter — lawn size, slopes, trees, multiple areas, edge cutting and installation — then choose with confidence.

START WITH THE GARDEN, NOT THE BRAND
Capacity is only the first step. A 900 m² open lawn and a 900 m² garden split into several areas under trees can need very different machines.
Choose enough capacity so the mower can keep up without needing to run flat-out every day.
Trees, narrow passages, separate lawns, paths and buildings influence navigation and positioning.
Slopes, rough ground, edge cutting and whether you want stripes can change the best choice completely.
60-SECOND BUYER GUIDE
Pick one answer in each row. We’ll show you the strongest starting point in the current Mincost range.
YOUR TWO BEST STARTING POINTS
We’ll give you a best match plus a sensible alternative. Exact lawn size and site conditions can still change the final choice.
A buyer guide can narrow the range, but satellite visibility, trees, slopes, passages and separate lawn areas can change the best answer. Email us and we’ll advise you, or book a free site survey if you’re local to Mincost.
This is a buying guide, not a site survey. Satellite visibility, connectivity, access and layout can change the final recommendation.

COMMON BUYING QUESTIONS
These are the questions that usually matter more than a long specification list.
Read the full robotic mower FAQ →No. Many current Husqvarna and Kress models can use virtual boundaries. Traditional wired systems can still be the right choice for some gardens, particularly where positioning conditions are difficult.
Often yes, but tree cover can affect satellite positioning. Camera-assisted models and the correct positioning setup can make a major difference, which is why complex gardens are worth assessing properly.
Yes, if the lawns can be connected by a suitable route or the installation is planned around separate work areas. Paths, steps, gates and narrow passages all need to be considered.
Check more than the headline maximum slope figure. Traction, turning space, the condition of the ground and the slope near boundaries matter too. AWD models can be a better choice for genuinely difficult terrain.
Small straightforward gardens can be good DIY projects. For larger, multi-area or satellite-guided installations, professional setup can save a lot of trial and error and helps ensure the mower is correctly sized from the start.
